I relate deeply to this essay (or manifesto) by Jeffrey Zeldman about what it means, on a personal level, to be creative. Will this change in the future? I doubt it. The moments of inspiration, the hours of plodding, the ultimate mystery... those will remain. What might change is the pen and paper we use every day.

What happens when artificial intelligence starts taking over not only all our productive tasks but also the mundane, meaningless ones? What could happen to these experiences we enjoy for no particular reason? Such as lying down on soft grass and watching clouds pass by. I'm exploring these worries as part of an ongoing project.
